First, this system makes real bottled water, not just filtered water. This system does what the Dual Filtration System does above but takes the water a step further. The reverse osmosis processing allows for a level of purification that no conventional filtration system can achieve. Inside the system, water is forced against a dense membrane; H20 molecules are dissolved into the membrane while contaminants and impurities are rejected and flushed away right down the drain, leaving you with water as clean and clear as it was meant to be. We can also hook up our coffee brewers to the carbon filter system, and any ice maker that is close by!

Sequence of Operation

First Stage:
The first stage filter consists of one 10-inch 1-micron carbon sediment pre-filter made of a combination of cellulose and carbon impregnated fibers. This precise design gives efficiencies of at least 88%.

Second Stage: The second stage uses a molded modified block carbon filter, which consists of one 10-inch molded modified block carbon filter made up of a medium density powdered activated carbon cartridge. Typically this filter removes 95% of free chlorine and a very high level of volatile organic chemicals. Because this is the second stage of the filtering process, this filter performs 2½ to 3 times better than the specifications call for.

Dual Filter System
Third Stage: The final stage of filtration takes tap water that has gone through the first two stages and forces it against a specially designed cellulose acetate membrane, molecule by molecule. This final process removes 90% or more of any contaminants that made it through the first two stages of this process.
